Vasconcelos Named Eastern MA “College Coach of the Year” |

 Rockland Mass. - Lesley University Head Coach Paul Vasconcelos, has been named “College Coach of the Year” by the Eastern Massachusetts High School Soccer Coaches Association. Coach Vasconcelos will be honored at the EMASS High School All Star Banquet on January 31st in Quincy, MA.
“I’m certainly very honored to be recognized by the eastern Mass soccer coaches. I am a big fan of high school soccer and have very fond memories of playing in the MIAA tournament as a kid.”
After stops at Milton Academy and Emerson College, Coach Vasconcelos arrived at Lesley University in 2006 to develop the first ever men’s soccer program there. He was also brought in to take over the women’s program in 2007. Since that time, both programs have transformed into winning programs. In 2009 both programs went to their respective Conference Championships, with the women crowned NECC champions. Both programs went 15-5-1 earning ECAC regional championship tournament bids. For his efforts has been named New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year on both the men’s and women’s sides.
Vasconcelos lives in Sharon with his wife and two children and serves as the Director of Coaching at Eastern Mass FC.
