EMFC held their annuakl season-ending banquet on Friday, June 4th, taking the opportunity to recognize the efforts of both parents and players over the past year.

EMFC held their annuakl season-ending banquet on Friday, June 4th, taking the opportunity to recognize the efforts of both parents and players over the past year.  EMFC's board members and coaches recognize the commitment that club soccer brings, and thus we are thankful for all the hard work of the players on field and the support of their parents and family. 

Players from each team were recognized with invidual awards including Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and Offensive Player of the Year.  Under-17 Boys Coach Jim Costa was recognized by the EMFC Board as the club's Coach of the Year; Costa led his team to a perfect Spring season in Maple, going 7-0 and scoring 21 goals while surrendering just one.

Attendees were able to view photos taken of the various teams throughout the year, from pre-season games to the Memorial Day Tournament.  As always, a number of contests and raffles took place at this year's banquet.  Some of the raffle prizes won included tickets to Red Sox, Bruin, and Boston College football games, as well as a iPod Touch, cleats, gift cards, and more.  Contests included a miniature version of "Minute to Win It", World Cup Trivia, and a World Cup Bracket Challenge.

It is not too late to get in on EMFC's World Cup Bracket Challenge!  For those still interested, a online version has been established as a part of ESPN Soccernet's Bracket Predictor.  All you need to do is go to http://games.espn.go.com/bpredictor/en-us/frontpage and create an ESPN.com account.  Once you do that, you are able to take part of all of ESPN's fantasy sports games, including the Bracket Predictor.  From the webpage listed above, you just need to Create an Entry and Join a Group.  To join the EMFC group, you will need the following information:
